She currently writes politics and features for AL DÍA news, where she covered the 2020 elections and vaccine rollout in the city. She is also a member of NAHJ and she keeps on top of the latest issues impacting Latinxs in the U. S. When she’s not writing or catching up on news, Ericka can usually be found with a croissant in one hand, Americano in the other.

Some of these challenges include an increase in insurance premiums, missed trash pickups, homeless encampments, and drug use outside their establishments. El 15 de agosto, y en colaboración con Esperanza Health Center, Power Street Theatre dedicó un espacio en Kensington a reunir a un grupo diverso de inmigrantes, latines de primera generación y filadelfianos para que compartieran sus historias de inmigración, migración, diáspora y desplazamiento. El objetivo final era conectar a la comunidad en torno a un tema central: el hogar.
