Jennifer Hernandez

Jennifer Hernandez (she/her/ella) is a Dominican Bilingual Journalist. She was born in a small town on the East side of the Dominican Republic and migrated to the United States at eight years old. Her writing journey came from a desire to master English soon after arriving in the States.

She is a passionate bibliophile, always looking for the next best read. She works as a freelancer in Philadelphia, covering education, culture, business, health, and politics, and as a professional book reviewer with different companies.

She is a former reporter in AL DÍA's newfound Journalism Lab on Higher Education, which covered Latino students from across the U.S. on their journeys through college and post-graduate studies or careers.

She has a master's degree in Creative Writing and English from SNHU and a Modern Journalism Certificate from NYU.
